Security & resilience

Trust should be
part of the system.

Cyrbyte treats access, data handling and resilience as engineering concerns that shape how products are built, operated and improved over time.

Responsibility by design

Security is not a final checkbox.

Products change, teams change and the information moving through a system changes. That is why access, data use and resilience need to be considered throughout a product's life rather than added only at the end.

Our approach is practical: understand who should be able to do what, minimise unnecessary exposure, make important actions visible and keep reviewing the system as its responsibilities grow.

01

Access controls

Structure permissions around roles and responsibilities so people reach the information and actions relevant to their work.

02

Data handling

Consider how information is collected, moved, stored and exposed across product workflows.

03

Resilience

Design for failures, recovery and continued operation where systems support important work.

04

Ongoing review

Revisit assumptions as features, integrations and operational responsibilities change.

Engineering principles

Make important boundaries clear.

  1. Know the actors.

Identify users, systems and integrations that can read, change or move information.

  2. Limit unnecessary access.

Give each role and system the permissions required for its job rather than broad default access.

  3. Observe critical behaviour.

Keep relevant actions, failures and changes visible enough for teams to investigate what happened.

  4. Review as the product grows.

Reassess controls when the product, data or organisation changes instead of assuming yesterday's design still fits.
